The Islamic State militant group on Wednesday claimed responsibility for a fatal shooting in Russia’s North Caucasus region of Dagestan. The two gunmen involved in the attack killed one police officer and injured 11 others. The shootings took place Tuesday night near the citadel of Derbent, which claims to be Russia’s oldest city.
