Thanks for “Liking” my videos. A simpler rifle from a simpler time with a birdsong soundtrack – listen for it. Made prior to 1985, this Glenfield 30A is an inexpensive copy of the classic Marlin 336. Manufactured by Marlin for the big box stores of the day, it has lower quality wood and is not finished as nicely as the higher-end Marlin.
I liked the birdsong soundtrack so much that I considered no narration. MamaBear told me that wasn’t a good idea but I left some silence to celebrate a quieter time.
I have only fired about two boxes of .30-30, but it is a fun gun. The red dot provides classic/modern contrast and simple functionality. No need for a long-range scope here in the hills of Southwestern PA.
